Venezuela-workers celebrate 11 years of labor gains

Workers of the Ministry of Popular Power for Tourism (Mintur), heeded the call of the Venezuelan people to mobilize the International Worker's Day, this Saturday May 1.

The end of Avenida Libertador, in front of CANTV, was the scene of the concentration of thousands of revolutionary workers from all over the country were celebrating the recent announcement by President Chávez, referring to the advancement of salary increase of 15% for all workers. While demonstrating, in unison, their commitment to the revolutionary process led by commander Hugo Chávez.

With joy and brilliance, both farmworkers, women, tourism, education and finance, among others, as the Venezuelan people themselves, wanted to emphasize that the merger did not respond only to wage demands, but marched into the near corner Carmelites at the end of Avenida Urdaneta, to demonstrate their commitment to integrated management of the National Government.

The workers showed their joy that the National Executive signed collective contracts of the oil, health and education, to dignify their lives with financing plans for the acquisition of family housing and leisure.

In this sense, Cesar Perez Alvarez, representative of the Pedagogical University Experimental Libertador (UPEL) of Guarico state, welcomed the commitment shown by all workers in the country to celebrate together the achievements in work achieved through the revolutionary government .

For its part, Cirio Sequera, Regional Coordinator of the Mission Sucre Yaracuy, insisted to congratulate all the workers in the country to begin their daily chores at dawn to sunset, carrying on his shoulders to enhance the commitment making machinery of the nation.

Meanwhile that Natalia McCarthy, Mintur worker, said: "Today, May 1, the Venezuelan working class, labor celebrates major achievements, made possible by the socialist nature of the Bolivarian Revolution, which over 11 years has guaranteed stability employment, substantial improvement of the minimum wage increase and implementation of integrated social policies that allow free access to health, education and recreation.
