Supporting Sustainable Travel:

-2011 will be a year of challenges for the tourism sector

In its sixth day and exceeding 120 000 hits since its inception, the International Tourism Fair of Venezuela 2010, continues to receive large numbers of people enjoying in just a kilometer traveled the tourist and cultural benefits of this land full of grace.

"Fitven is a place for meetings of the Venezuelan people for a people struggling and build a different society. A place where it joins from the east to the jungle, from the plains to the Zulia, from the coast to the jungle", he stressed José Leonardo González, president of the National Institute of Tourism (Inatur).

He said that the Bolivarian government is satisfying to receive this large amount of visitors who have the opportunity to meet with its varied landscape, its culture, history, cuisine, traditions and music.

He recalled the importance of a first International Fair of Tourism in the Countries of Alba. "The sister we did in a comprehensive manner that transcends the traditional presentation of countries separated by stand. FitAlba is a collective space, without walls, is a great example of integration."

He also highlighted the work undertaken by the inclusion Bolivarian Government in this area, through tourism, national and international social and packages at fair prices offered by the tour operator of the state, Venetur. "The Bolivarian Government is sparing no efforts to ensure the Venezuelan people and even foreign tourists, recognition and encounter with the benefits offered by Venezuela tourist."

Although it is unknown what will be the host city for the next fair, of course, the Bolivarian government is working on the definition of the central motif of Fitven 2011. "We in Caracas headquarters, but also could extend to every one of the main attractions. The biggest challenge will be to overcome this show, which itself has transcended these.
