One of the points in the final declaration of the Eighth Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA), held in Cuba on 13 and 14 December, states that in 2010 will be held the first Fair of Tourism of the ALBA within the framework of the V International Tourism Fair of Venezuela (IFTC), scheduled for the month September.

For its part, the Council will consider the project block to create the Center for Tourism Promotion and Development of the ALBA, and an Institute for training of basic skills of tourism.

Among other issues, ALBA members agreed to begin implementing the next January, the virtual currency named Regional Compensation Unit System of Payments (Sucre).
